When we were kids our mind was clear, so all of our hopes and dreams seemed to be a possible future reality. It was our childhood fun to imagine the impossible as being real. We were great pretenders, great natural actors with vivid imaginations. But then, as it usually happens the adults of our world corral our wild imaginations into a stable of their expectations for us. We were told to grow up and to act and think like a grown up, which meant that we were not to expect much for ourselves other than the paths already trodden by those before us.
It’s never too late to rekindle your dreams, but you must develop a warrior’s mentality. You must go to war against the fears and doubts that are feed to you on a daily basis. You must develop a strategy to handle the obstacles of self doubt which has become a mental conditioning of the majority that surrounds you.
There are many throughout history and in this present day who have succeeded against incredible odds, people who have made their impossible dreams a present reality. Get to know these individuals and the mind set they had in order to realize their dreams. These individuals are your allies, your soldiers who fight your self doubt and fears daily.
In the mornings, before the day’s momentum takes you into it’s hustle and bustle, unleash your army of inspiration through tapes and video and the written word. Words can encourage or discourage. Be deliberate about what you hear and see when your day is new. Soon you will build such a positive momentum that will overwhelm and drown out the voices and forces of self doubt and fear and your faith in yourself and your dreams will carry you to it’s realization! Amen!
